Within our school community families come in all shapes and sizes. There are over 200 000 same sex families living in the UK (ONS, 2019)

As a principle we believe that in order to prepare children to live in our diverse world, it is important to celebrate difference but in particular, represent different family structures. Through Jigsaw and through a range of resources we aim to create a space where all children feel safe and respected, where all children feel included so that they can leave James Dixon Primary as kind and responsible people who are able to form positive relationships with others.
